How do I add a new user?
The “Add Staff” feature will create credentials and automatically create a password. Contact us for password troubleshooting.

How do I create a report?
Choose “Log” from the Main menu.
Select date or date range or report
Use filters to select groups or items to filter. For example, choose only children (students) in the Title filter, then choose “Absent” in the Status filter. This will create a report showing only Students that were Absent in the period chosen.
Click on the export button ^ at the top right of the screen. If you have MS Excel, it will automatically open.
Don’t have all of the required information for a Caregiver?
Use the parents information in the absence of caregiver information or fill with “Update”.
How do I change the main emergency contact?
Touch the number next to the Emergency Contact and you can select as main contact. The Star denotes the contact number that will be shown as the first contact for the student.
How do I delete a caregiver?
Inside the student profile, click the (-) “negative” icon on the Caregiver. You will have the chance to verify that you are sure you want to delete the caregiver.
How do I find a student?
Go to the main menu on the left of your screen and choose “Students”. The Student list allows to search by name using the top right search field.
How do I move a child from one classroom to another?
Go to Child bio and use drop down menu to select the desired classroom.
How do I add a new teacher or staff member?
Go to Staff List and click the box at top right hand corner.
How do I add a new child or student?
Go to Classroom of choice and add new student with button at top right hand corner.
How do I add a photo?
Click on Photo Icon and take a new picture or use existing picture from file.
How do I delete a photo?
Take another picture or upload a new file and it will overwrite existing photo.
Can I mass upload my data?
Yes! We will facilitate that for you during on boarding. Email support@gopadsecure.com
Does GoPad Secure have an API?
We are currently building our API based on user feedback. It will be available soon.
How do I remove a student from the active roster?
First select the student list from the menu. Select (-) on the far right for the individual(s) to be removed from the roster. They will then be moved to the inactive list but all historic data will be maintained for your records. Inactive students can be reactivated by selecting the button to the right shown here.
Ho do I add back or reactivate a student that has been removed?
Select “Students” from the menu. Click the person icon on the far right as shown here:

How do I invite a parent to login to the "Parent Portal"
Inviting Parent To Update Child’s Information via Parent Portal
- Chose child from student list
- Click on parent you wish to Invite to update parent portal
- Go to bottom of parent profile and click “Invite”
- Parent will receive and email and link to login
- Administrator and teacher will immediately see update made by parent

How do I add a new student?
The “Add Student” is a feature on the Administrator website. Contact your Administrator or Contact us for login and password troubleshooting.

I cannot login in due to error “There seems to be some problem, we are not able to complete your request right now. Please try again later.”
This can occur if the Ipad has not been logged out for some time (days). Here is the fix:
- Delete the App
- Reinstall from itunes
- Authenticate using any Admin credential (Admin login and password)
- Teacher can then login normally using own credentials.
How do I enable parent daily alerts?
Select the student in the list. Click “Edit” at the top right of the child’s profile. Then choose the parent and caregiver you would like to update. Find the toggle at the bottom of the caregiver information screen and ensure that text and/or email preference is correct. The toggle should be positioned to the right. When enabled the parent will receive a text and/or email on arrival and dismissal of the student.
How do I disable text messages coming to my phone?
The parent user can login and disable messaging or the Admin can login to any profile and change the communication preferences for that individual. The receiver of an unwanted text message can also reply with any of: STOP, STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, or QUIT. However, it is preferable to login and change user preferences.

Do I need internet?
Your GoPad is synced locally so you can use it when there is no internet connection. Only arrival and dismissal data will be saved locally if internet connection is lost. Editing of student profile including caregiver data should only be done when an internet connection is available.
How do I log in as a teacher?
If you logging in for the first time, check to see if the login screen asks for admin login. The admin must enter their credentials to verify that the device is registered to the account. Once registered, the App can be used by its user.

Each caregiver needs the following details (required):

Why GoPad Secure?
Is GoPad Secure only an attendance App?
GoPad is an attendance app but also provides key security features including caregiver management and communication tools such as text and email to parents and emergency features that can be customized for each user needs.
What are the key security features?
Lockdown and evacuation alerts are a key feature of the GoPad Secure App. Administrators can initiate lockdown or evacuation alerts which trigger an alarm on every Ipad and instructions to staff which are customized for their location.
Is GoPad only for Apple iPad?
GoPad was built for Apple iPads however Administrators can access their system via any recent web browser on any device.
Does GoPad Secure replace my robocall system?
Mass text and e-mail alert is provided by GoPad Secure to all clients. This allows for Administrators to send mass alerts to parents in the case of emergency or just for need to know items such as weather or construction events that may affect program or schedules. Group alerts by text are also available for notices to staff.
Does GoPad provide attendance reports?
GoPad collects all attendance data on its cloud servers. Data filters allow the administrator to run custom reports or download data to spreadsheets. Reports can be run down to individual student level. Reports also are available for staff attendance.
Is GoPad compliant with government standards?
GoPad was designed originally to comply with New York City Department of Health standards (Article 47). These standards include identifying all caregiver information and storing this information on site. The standards also include the ability to report and record absent children daily. GoPad Secure addresses these key compliance goals and continues to address compliance goals with local and state authorities.
Why is text messaging to parents so important?
The world has changed. We all have a constant flow of important and not so important (junk) email. When it comes to our children, we need to get the message fast. Text messaging is seen and opened about 10 times faster than email and is more likely to be seen. Read MORE HERE
Does GoPad require internet connection?
GoPad syncs with the cloud server when internet is available but it is not required to function. Once the app has refreshed each morning, it no longer needs to be connected to log data. This allows users to take the iPad on a field trip or outdoors and still have access to key information including children’s medical precautions and contact details for parents and caregivers. If a child is dismissed from an outside location, the record will be synced whenever the iPad regains internet connection back in its home location.
